Good place for a quick escape in the forest that's close to Calgary. I come here any season if I have a free hour or two and would like a walk. Trails are well maintained, documented well on maps, and easy to navigate. There's also a nice lookout to the Rockies and the city skyline, as well as some other historic elements in the area.

A really nice forest walk. Very easy to do with only one real hill to get to the lookout point. Lots of roots on the path but it's well-traveled and maintained.

I found this trail to be amazing, I walked my dog up to the Eagleview lookout and trekked the trail (entire outer perimeter). The entire hike lasted roughly 2 hours. The trails were icy at certain sections but for the most part the snow was compact. Overall, an amazing park close to Calgary!

We hiked here with the kids (aged 5-10) and climbed to the lookout. Then we looped back down following the tiny stream. Although there was some whining on the way up, we picnicked at the top and everyone was in much better moods for the way down. There are lots of well marked trails and we could have extended the hike (maybe without kids!). It's very beautiful. Outhouses at the parking lot. Bring bug spray and water! Would make a great trail run! Not stroller or wagon friendly due to all the tree roots.
